7 Ways You Know You Love A Police officer

I Am A Police Wife

1. The Vest – That vest that stinks no matter how much febreeze you spray on it, or whatever you do. It takes up too much room in your closet, but when he’s working and wearing the vest, you wish it was back in its spot. The sound of them taking it off, and that velcro is the best sound that anyone can hear. It means that they are home safe.

2. You can never Schedule more than a week out in life – Planning holiday’s or really anything for that matter is never easy. You think they are getting off at a certain time, and its three hours later, and then they are exhausted when they get off. Their schedules are so difficult! But, you learn to work with it. You learn to hate to so much that you love it.

3. Working late nights and longs shifts – Hence the above statement, (you can’t schedule anything), but they put in so many hours. As soon as their shift is over, you wait by the phone. If minutes past and they don’t call you worry & call them praying that they are just stuck late with paperwork. You get happy when they get that single second to send you a text to tell you they love you. Any communication while they are on duty is rare but so amazing.

4. Being so proud when you see them in uniform Weather they have been in uniform once or ten thousand times. Nothing changes, you are so proud and want to show them off to the world. I love when I am able to see my officer in uniform. It makes me the proudest wife.

5. The amount of white tee’s or undershirts that you have to wash The amount of white tee’s I have to wash is crazy! And washing the uniform, switching over the uniforms, all the buttons, everything! It takes time, and I feel like we are switching uniforms over all the time. But, then once again I would not trade it for anything!

6. Finding bullets in the washing machine I thought this was something wives just said, but no.. it happens. I was shocked when I was changing the laundry and there was a bullet in our washing machine. I thought yep, its official, I live with a police officer.

7. LOVING YOUR HERO Loving your police officer is the greatest thing in life. They go to work every day, putting their life on the line. But you support them, you support the hard lifestyle that you both agreed to. You love it & wouldn’t change it for the world.

Stop Living For Life For Others

With so much on social media, people think that we need to be perfect. Well guess what everyone. We don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be yourself!
Here are four ways to stop living life for others and start living your life for yourself.
____________________________________________________________________

Take Your Own Advice  You know that voice in your head, listen to it! Do what makes you happy. Talk yourself into taking risks. Do what is best for yourself! Sometimes, you have to put yourself first. Don’t be afraid to voice your opinion, you have a voice for a reason, so make sure you are heard.

Listen To Others With Caution Remember, you know what is best for you. Yes, some people may think they know what is best for you, but they don’t. Of course, you want to listen to everyone who wants to help you in life, but at the end of the day life has to be your choice.

Applaud yourself  Be happy with yourself. Don’t wait for others to give you credit. Pat yourself on the back, and believe you did a good job. This can be so hard. With all the social media these days, people feel like they are never good enough. We need to stop feeling like that, feel like you are the best! Give yourself some confidence! Don’t wait for social media to accept you.

Love Yourself  I mean at the end of the day, if you don’t love yourself who will?  Remember to live your life for yourself. Do what makes YOU happy. Stop looking at others for the “okay” in life. Stop comparing yourself to others, it will only bring you down. Especially on social media… people have the tendency’s  to show only the good in their life, so don’t compare your life to theirs.

What I’m Thankful For

My Husband (It still feels weird to call him that.. I still want to call him by boyfriend) He is my rock. We may not see each other that often, but when we do, we make the best of it. He is always there for me, and I am so lucky to have him.
My Family- With Justin’s horrible schedule they are always there for me. I am so lucky to have sisters I do. We are so close to each other, and I truly know I am so blessed to have such an amazing family
My Animals- They keep me sane and insane at the exact same time. With being home by myself 5 nights out the week, they really do keep me good company. I could do without the shedding and barking.. but I guess that comes with them!
My House- I know how blessed I am to have such an amazing house for my age. My parents helped us pick out the house and my sister has helped me all with designing! It is finally starting to become our little home!
Justin’s Work Schedule – This year Justin is off Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve & I am so excited! He has to work Christmas day, but I’ll take what I can get! I am just excited he is off for Christmas Eve! It is the little things in life!
My Life- Of course I have hard the ups and downs, the highs and lows of life. But my life is amazing. I have everything I need. I am so blessed to be able to spend thanksgiving and the Holidays with the love of my life & my family.

During the entire wedding process, I was very price conscious about everything. We went with, the idea of not setting a budget.. Crazy Right? Well No- it was perfect for us! Our wedding invitations could not have been more perfect! I was so lucky that I found Jessie, at Howl Creative Co. She made the entire process so easy on me! I knew I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on our wedding invitations, because they just get thrown away at the end of the day, but I knew I wanted them to go with the them of our wedding. They did exactly that!
I received this product in return for my opinion. Once again all thoughts are my own.
The process was so easy! I picked out the them that I wanted. Jessie, at Howl Creative Co. had so many different designs and they are all amazing, so it was a little tough to decide what I wanted!
Once I picked out my design I was able to make some changes to make it personalized to me and my wedding! It only took one change, in wording & I knew that these were my invites! Once  Jessie, at Howl Creative Co. sent me the PDF, I ordered the prints from Vistaprint and before I knew it my invites were out!
